Funeral services for Mrs. Vernie Opal Moody, age 92, are scheduled for 2 PM, Friday, January 5, 2018 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Eugene Springer officiating. Interment will follow in Dyers Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Moody passed away late Wednesday in Lexington. She was born March 29, 1925 in Henderson County to the late William and Adder Moody and was a retired I-Appel employee. She was preceded in death by her son, Alvin Fay Moody and one daughter, Clara Nell Hall. Survivors include her daughter, Wilma Moody; her daughter-in-law, Wanda Moody; brother, J W Moody (Lois); four grandchildren, Tracey Moody (Angie), Tammy Dyer, Tonya McFann, and Justin Moody; seven great grandchildren, Joseph, Serenity, Cody, Colton, Carissa, Sierra, and Brycen.
