Vernice Pugh Phillips, age 95, Haleyville, AL. passed away Sunday January 1, 2023. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church in Haleyville, AL.
Graveside Service only will be Saturday January 7, 2023 at 11:00AM at Winston Memorial Cemetery, with Dr. Ron Horton officiating.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Tanya Galloway (Gill), Phillip Nicholson (Beth), Jennifer Jones (Chris Bell) and Laura Carter (Adam); great grandchildren, Nicole, Jason and Casey Galloway, Taylor Nicholson (Melissa), Elizabeth and William Nicholson, Cian Jones (Kenzie), Noah and Nadia Bell; son in law, Bill Riddle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Phillips; daughters, Carolyn Nicholson and Debbie Riddle; son in law, Charles Nicholson; grandson, Micah Jones; parents, Wash and Esther Pugh; sister, Gertrude Hannah; brothers, Clinus, Raymond, Herman and Bill Pugh.
