Vernette Hood Pickens age 88, of Florence, passed away September 1st, 2024. A graveside service will be Thursday, September 5th at 3 p.m. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Pickens.
Mrs. Pickens is survived by her son, Randy Pickens (Lynda); daughters, Debbie Dingus (Robert) and Vickie Nichols (Chris). Additional survivors include grandchildren, Adam Dinges (Nichole), Ashley Sealey (Michael), Alex Dinges (Valerie), Taylor Pickens, Caroline Pickens, Laura Pickens, Shalae Gilmer (Larry), Chase Gilmer, Kelsey Nichols, Kirby Richards (Brett), Kyndal Cheng (Yu-Tang), Kole Nichols (Belah), Kyle Nichols, Karson Nichols (Emily) and Anastasia Sudarsana; great- grandchildren, Tyler, Henry, Katelin, Jane Rado, Phillip, Caiden, Morgan, Mia, Carson, Audrey, Grant, Sylvie, Marlo, Elijah and Vera.
She retired from Superior Tool and Die.
