Funeral services for Mrs. Verna Alexander, age 92, are scheduled for 4:00pm Sunday, June 5, 2016 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lexington Cemetery. Mrs. Alexander passed away Saturday morning in Jackson, Tn. She was retired from Panoply and member of Palestine Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Alexander was born April 11, 1924 in Decatur County, Tn. to the late William McKinley and Emily Oner Bingham Lowe. She was preceded in death by husband- JP Alexander, 3 sons- Ron Gilbert, William Andrew Gilbert, Patrick Lee Gilbert, 1 daughter- Emily Jane Smith Hughes, 1 brother- Jesse Lee Lowe and 2 sisters- Graple L. Eubanks and Patti Cannon. Survivors include; 1 son-Michael Gilbert and 1 daughter- Amanda Tate (Mike), 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren.
