Ms. Verlene Adams Fregeau, age 88, of Arab, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at MMCN.
Ms. Fregeau was born in Houston, TX, on December 7, 1933 to the late Adrian Holt Ashley and Dorothy Loraine Smith Ashley. She worked at Teledyne Brown for years before retiring. She also worked as secretary for the Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church in Morgan City. She loved reading the bible and used her thorough understanding to teach Sunday school. She also enjoyed sewing, shopping, and cooking.
Ms. Fregeau is survived by her husband, Richard W. “Dick” Fregeau; son, Bruce Adams (Marlena); grandchildren, Chad Adams and Clay Adams; brother, Charles Ashley; sister, Delores A. Ferguson.
Graveside service will be held at Mt. View Cemetery located at Mt. View Baptist Church in Union Grove on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11:00 am with Bro. Bobby Boyd and Bro. Eldridge Criscoe officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 9:00 am – 10:30 am at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City.
