Verdie Jewell Borden Morgan was born October 3, 1928 in Iuka, MS the daughter of the late John Jack and Etna Phelps Borden.
She was united in marriage to William Odell Morgan on February 14, 1953. Mr. Morgan preceded her in death on November 14, 2018.
Mrs. Morgan was a member of Liberty Church of Christ. She loved having her family gatherings – she was the happiest when everyone was together. She took great care of her chihuahuas.
Mrs. Morgan departed this life on November 17, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 94 Years, 1 Month, 14 Days. She is survived by three daughters, Lynn Austin of Shiloh, TN, Sharon Burks and husband Tony of Shiloh, TN, Vickie Carter and husband Bob of Savannah, TN; five sons, Dewayne Morgan of Shiloh, TN, Dudley Morgan of Michie, TN, Dale Morgan of Shiloh, TN, Dennis Morgan of Ramer, TN, Danny Morgan of Shiloh, TN; a special sister-in-law, Jenny Martin and husband Lonnie of Shiloh, TN; brother-in-law, Gene Morgan of Columbia, TN; 22 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by a son, David Dwight Morgan; son-in-law, Willie Austin; grandson, Matthew Morgan; daughter-in-law. Carolyn Morgan; brother, Talmage Borden and wife Sarah; several step brothers and sisters.
