Services to Celebrate the Life of Verdia L. Felks, age 85, of Rienzi, Mississippi are set for 1pm on Friday August 5, 2022 at McPeters Funeral Directors. Visitation will be from 12pm until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Old Danville Cemetery.
Ms. Felks passed away on August 3, 2022 at Longwood Community Living Center in Boonville. She was born January 13, 1937 to the late Lindsey & Molly Clark. Ms. Felks attended school for a short time before beginning her career as a homemaker. In her early life, Verdia met the love of her life, Clifton Felks and the two lived a wonderful life until his passing. She was also a lifetime member of the Holiness Church of Jesus Christ in Boonville.
She is preceded in death by her husband Clifton Felks, her parents Lindsey & Molly Clark, a daughter Betty Linton, and sisters, Mary Ellen Clark, Maxine Clark, and Daisy Clark.
She is survived by her son Kenneth Felks, her daughter Teresa Wood (James), brothers JL Clark and Fred Clark, and grandchildren Mathew and Stephanie Linton.
Pallbears include Stephen Meeks, Tim Williamson, Justin Clark, Billy Don Hamm, Billy Don Hamm Jr, Matthew Linton, Charles Linton, and James Wood.
