Funeral Services for Mr. Verbon Alton Sharpton, age 81 of Cullman, will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro Scott Sessions officiating.

Mr. Sharpton was born to the late Dayton Elmer & Mary Fulenwider Sharpton on October 28, 1935; and passed away at Brookwood Medical Center on Saturday, September 30, 2017. He was a member of the 1st Church of the Nazarene in Cullman and he loved Alabama football.
Survivors include Daughter – Lisa (Ronnie) Pugh; 2 – Sons – Ashley (Elaine) Sharpton & Dennis Sharpton; 6 – Sisters – Delores (Ralph) McBrayer, Margaret (Charlie) Evans, Barbara (Jerry) Woods, Patsy (Rick) Blakely, Donna (James) Vickery & Geraldine (Kenneth) Tipton; 2 – Brothers – Wilburn (Gladys) Sharpton & Paul (Connie) Sharpton; 7 – Grandchildren – Tim (Delina) Howard, Meaghen (Chad) Woods, Ronald Sharpton, Kyle Sharpton, Paul Sharpton, Tabitha McGee & Elizabeth McGee.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the funeral home
