Vera T. Wallace, 94, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Magnolia Manor Assisted Living Facility in Tupelo. She was born June 14, 1929, to Jessie and Bessie Bell Walton. She was a longtime member of Ballardsville Baptist Church. She was retired from Charm Step after more than 36 years of service. She was a home maker who enjoyed gardening, yard sales, being outdoors, and her swimming pool.
Private Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, at the Itawamba Memorial Gardens with Bro. Frank Panzrino officiating. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Andy Wallace (Becky) of Chelsea, Ala., Garry Wallace of Fulton; three daughters, Cindy Allen (Jesse) of Dorsey, Julia Smith of Cave Creek, Arizona, and Emily Warner (Todd) of Dorsey; one sister, Gladys Franks of Fulton; seven grandchildren, Jared Wallace, Justin Wallace, Casey Smith, Shannon Smith, Danielle Tackett, Shelli Estrella, and Kelli Dailey; and six great-grandchildren, Jordon Tyra, Ty Holt Tyra, Clara Dailey, Grant Dailey, Arthur Wallace, Sam Wallace, and Baby Estrella (on the way).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Patton Wallace; one son, Danny Wayne Tackett; three brothers, Clyde Walton, Grady Walton, and Noon Walton; one sister, Edith Griffin; one grandson, Neil Tyra; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Andy Wallace, Garry Wallace, Justin Wallace, Justin Dailey, Jesse Allen, Jordan Tyra, and Todd Warner.
