Vera Manasco Hogan, 95, of Toney, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Mrs. Hogan was actively involved in local and state woman’s missionary work. She taught English as a second language for many decades which helped her make friends all over the world.
Survivors include daughters, Judy H. Burks (Jeff) and Jonna Hogan-Anderson (Greg); grandsons, Jared Seth Anderson and Jacob Evan Anderson; six great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John A. Hogan; granddaughter, Lauren A. Greene; and parents, Calton Wilburn Manasco and Nancy Elva Patton.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2024, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Edwin Jenkins and Dr. Kevin Moore officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home assisting the family.
