Vera Mae Holcomb

 Vera Mae Holcomb, 85, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Generations of Red Bay. She was born in Itawamba County, MS to William Henry and Glader Mae Johnson Mills.  She was retired from Golden Manufacturing and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 24, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Dean Warren and Bro. Tony Darracott officiating.  Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.  Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by two children, Kenny Holcomb (Judy) and Lisa Holcomb; eight grandchildren, Trista Eaton (Dustin), Dustin Harris (Maegan), Shawn Prestage (Leanna), Melanie Lambert (Seth), Lee Greenhaw (Addy), Megan Dill, Alyssa Dill and Tim Henderson; seventeen great-grandchildren; a host of great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Debbie Mills and a son-in-law-Mel Greenhaw.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaither Holcomb; her parents; one daughter, Teresa Greenhall; two granddaughters, Kristal Shue and Kaci Henderson and her brother, Paul Mills.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Harris, Dustin Eaton, Christian Eaton, Shawn Prestage, Deaton Prestage, Caden Prestage, Lee Greehhaw, Seth Lambert, Kodi Sheffield, Nate Henderson and Tim Henderson.

Visitation will be Monday, October 24, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
