Vera Faye Lethco Randolph (“Faye’) died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022 in Athens, AL at the age of 86. Predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Ted Tate Randolph, and her son Bobby Lethco Randolph, she leaves behind two children, Lisa Randolph Berger of Brimingham, AL, and Regina Roach (Rick) of Florence, AL; three grandchildren – Zachary Wardelman, Julia Berger Terry (Walt) and Ross Wardelman; five great grandchildren – Wesley, Walker, and WrenLeigh Wardelman, and Emily and Anderson Terry. Born in Sevierville, TN on December 25, 1935, Faye graduated and moved to Cleveland, OH where she met and married Ted Randolph. Together they raised their family in Cleveland, Oak Ridge, and Huntsville before retiring to Athens. Faye had many jobs over the course of her life, but spent the majority of her career working at the Huntsville Police Department. She loved watching the Crimson Tide play anything, particularly football and was known to watch game winning reruns; and being a Christmas baby, she loved everything about the holiday season. Faye was a wonderful cook and made the very best strawberry jam and biscuits. She will be greatly missed. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 at Maple Hill Cemetary. Spry Funeral Home in Athens is directing. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
