Vera Ann Swords, 51, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018, at her home. She was born October 13, 1966, in Illinois to Shelly Keith and Vera Dean Conley Umfress. She worked as a bus monitor and substitute at Fulton Headstart. She enjoyed watching soap operas and NASCAR and loved going to drag strip races and yard sales. She especially enjoyed being around her grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Brian Umfress, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in the Keyes Cemetery.
Survivors include her parents, Shelly Keith and Vera Umfress; her husband, Marty Swords; two sons, Patrick Roberts and Eric Roberts; two daughters, Shelly Sandoval (Alvin) and Destiny Swords; one step-son, Neal Swords; one step-daughter, Amber Swords; one brother, Brian Umfress (Melissa); a special friend, Joyce Singleton; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
