Mrs. Vera Ann Holt Roberts was born to the late Mr. Luther Holt and Willola Holt on January 2, 1947, in Prospect, TN. She earned her heavenly wings on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 3:17 a.m. at Valley View Nursing Home in Madison, AL.
She is preceded in death by her husband John Roberts, brothers; Lee, Elwood (Uncle Elf), June, Andrew, James, Robert, and Golden. She is also proceeded in death by sisters, Inest Young and Rosa Lee Holt and son-in-law Truman Porter III.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age at Macedonia P.B. Church in Limestone, AL. under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Ananias Green.
She loved sewing, meeting people and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. In her early years she enjoyed fishing, reading, writing, watching soap operas and listening to the blues.
She is survived by her children: Warren (Twanda) Jamar, Madison, AL., Lisa Porter, Limestone, AL., and Jarvis (Beverly) Jamar, New Market, AL. She is blessed with 10 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The memorial service for Mrs. Vera Ann Holt Roberts will be 12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Royal Chapel of Memories (4315 Oakwood Avenue NW Huntsville, AL 35810) with Minister Jarvis Jamar officiating.
There will be no public viewing.
