Vaughn Dale Jinks, 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday May 10, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Funeral Services honoring Mr. Jinks life will be 2 PM Saturday May 18, 2024, at Canaan Baptist Church with Bro Paul Adams officiating with visitation from 11 AM until service time. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born October 31, 1938, in Farmerville, Louisiana, Mr. Jinks was the son of the late Artie and Lonie Smith Jinks. He received his education from the Farmerville School System and was married on September 7, 1975, to his beloved wife, Pansy Janes Jinks, who survives. Together they lived in the Memphis, were Mr. Jinks raised a family and was employed with the Memphis City Fire Department for 26 years, while also working as a skillful outboard boat repairman.

A devoted Christan and faithful member of Cannan Baptist Church, Mr. Jinks lived a life fully dedicated to his Lord and Savior. He always led others by example, enjoyed listening to gospel singing, reading his bible often, and praying and talking with God daily. His favorite pastimes times included antiquing, collecting Aladdin lamps, and travelling with his wife, Pansy to various places as long as his health allowed. Above all, Mr. Jinks greatest joy came from his family, always looking forward to time shared with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His life was well lived as a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather, and true servant to Christ. Well done thy good and faithful servant.

In addition to his wife of 48 years, Pansy Jane Jinks, memories will continue to be shared by two sons, Dale Jinks (Roxann), and Danny Jinks (Marcia), two grandsons, Justin Jinks, and Daniel Jinks (Emily), as he would say, “his only and favorite granddaughter”, Alesha Cupples (Justen), four great grandsons, Braydon, Paxton, Elijah, and Flint Cupples, one sister, Beatrice Gray, and one brother, Lamar Jinks (Kim).

Those serving as pallbearers will be Dale Jinks, Danny Jinks, Daniel Jinks, Justen Cupples, Brayden Cupples, and Ben Adams.
