It is with great sadness that the family of Vanessa Kay East Henson announce her passing at the young age of 45. On Sunday October, 13, 2024 she joined her loved ones in heaven.
Vanessa was born on June 5, 1979 in Guntersville, Alabama. She will be remembered for her fun loving spirit and deep love for her family and friends. Vanessa was also known as Momma, Mimi, and Nessa to those dearest to her.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Elmer and Helen Rowland, Luman Sr. and Janie East, Mother- Leona Mae Rowland Cornelius, Father- Autry Durwood East.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 22 years, Donald Henson, Children- Blake Kennedy, Austin Kennedy, Jacob Doster (Jewell), Alyssa West (Randall), Dylan Henson (Marcie), Six Grandchildren, Sisters- Tessa Berry (Jamie), Shanna Sparks (Blake), Brothers- Tyrel Kirkland, Jimmy East and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will have a private Celebration of Life for her on November 2, 2024.
