Van Burean Borden, age 78, Russellville, passed away on Friday 05, 2015 at ECM Hospital.
The visitation was at 5 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Tharptown Friendship Holiness Church. The funeral will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Tharptown Friendship Holiness Church. Officiating at the service will be Brother William Mears. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
He is survived by wife of 55 years, Annie Mae Borden; son, Johnny Lee Borden (wife, Sheila); grandchildren, Erica Aguirre (husband, Jose), Johnathan Borden (wife, Holly), Shandi Gardner, Chelsey Gardner, Daniel Kimbrough; great-grandchildren, Maeleigh Aguirre, Matthew Aguirre, Mason Aguirre, Maleah Duke; brother, Carlos Borden; sister, Etta Cole; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mattie Borden; granddaughter, Madelyn Aguirre; sisters, Dorothy Davis, Mildred Cassel, Lorene Colburn, Linnie Mae Partain; and brothers, William Borden and Elmer Borden.
The pallbearers will Rodney Borden, Chris Borden, Faron Bordon, Dennis Cassel, Darren Borden and Reese Borden. The honorary pallbearers will be Wyman Cole, Daniel Kimbrough, Junior Colburn and O’Neal Colburn.
