Valerie Kay Mitchell Barnett, age 65, of Ethridge, TN passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023. She was a native of Independence, MO, retired from Murray Ohio, and of the Baptist Faith. Valerie liked to sew, was an avid reader, and loved her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Frances Burdick Mitchell; and one sister, Edie Jeanette Tyler.
She is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Hampton (Tony) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Anthony Barnett (Maria) of St. Joseph, TN; one sister, Rita Preslar (Larry) of Ethridge, TN; one brother, Kerry Eugene Mitchell (Kay) of Ethridge, TN; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her fur baby, Gunner.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
