Mrs. Ursula Anna Maria Pruitt passed away peacefully in her home in Huntsville, Alabama on October 16, 2021. She was surrounded with love from her family.

Ursula was originally from Fulda, Germany and came to the United States to make it her home after her marriage to Willis G. Pruitt. They shared 54 years of marriage before Mr. Pruitt passed away in 2015.

Ursula is survived by daughter, Michele; daughter, Scarlett (Darrin); and daughter, Karen (Kent); grandchildren: Charles (Mary), Christopher (Kate), Nastassja, Nicolette, Jessy, Jacob, Lacey, and her grandson who preceded her in death, James. She was also blessed with 13 living great-grandchildren. Ursula also has a living sister, Marlene, who resides in Germany along with many nieces, nephews, friends, and other family.

Ursula became an American citizen and served many roles in her life, but the proudest achievement was as a school bus driver for Hardin County Schools. She safely transported thousands of children over a 17-year career.

Ursula was also a very devout Christian, spreading and sharing her faith, the love of Christ, with many.

The beautiful life of Ursula will be celebrated during a mass at St. James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown, KY at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 20th, 2021, with burial to follow. Ursula will be laid to rest at Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown next to her husband and grandson, James.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Caring for Life Hospice in Huntsville, Alabama.
