FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department has issued an update on the shooting that took place on Wednesday, JUne 1 at the Dollar General Store on Huntsville Road:
“At approximately 1:56 PM on June 1, 2022, Officers responded to a 911 call of a shooting that occurred behind Dollar General, 3065 Huntsville Road.
After further investigation, Joshua Killian, of Florence, fired one shot striking Buddy Watson, also of Florence. Mr. Killian is cooperating with the investigation.
Mr. Watson underwent surgery at the North Alabama Medical Center and is currently listed as critical but stable condition.
No charges have been issued at this time and the incident remains under investigation.”
