Knitted Knockers are special handmade breast prosthesis for women who have undergone mastectomies or other procedures to the breast. They typically require special bras or camisoles with pockets and can’t be worn for weeks after surgery. Knitted Knockers on the other hand are soft, comfortable, beautiful and when placed in a regular bra they take the shape and feel of a real breast. Plus women can immediately use them after surgery. Mrs. Cassandra Seal, our local Breast Cancer Nurse Navigator, will be here at the yarn shop to talk about why these Knitted Knockers are in such high demand and the impact they will have on patients right here in the Shoals.

The Knitted Knocker KnitNight Party will be held on Tuesday, March 15 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Unraveled Yarn & Gifts located at 215 N Court Street in Florence.

We are providing knitting patterns in the round and flat as well as a crochet pattern for anyone that would like to take part. All knitters and crocheters need to be proficient in knitting in the round, increasing, and decreasing to participate or we can set up a private class for anyone to learn these techniques before KnitNight Party. Unraveled will be providing the poly-fit stuffing for everyone’s knockers.

The Knitted Knockers will be available to any woman who would like to try them as a prosthesis option for FREE.

Materials Needed:
1 skein of UltraPrima (100% cotton)
1 set of 8inch US 4 double pointed needles.

Important Note: 1 skein of yarn will make at least 3 pairs of Knitted Knockers!!!
