UNA Plans Campus, Community Covid-19 Vaccine Clinics

FLORENCE– University Health Services at the University of North Alabama has received doses of the Moderna vaccine from the Alabama Department of Public Health that will allow for clinics to take place for UNA employees as well as members of the community who meet the current 1b phase of the Alabama Vaccine Allocation Plan.

Vice President for Student Affairs. “We have worked hard to implement and maintain health and safety guidance on our campus, which we hope has also had a positive effect on the greater Shoals area. We are excited to take the next step in helping to mitigate the virus by offering the vaccine to the local community.”

 

Individuals may sign up on-line by clicking Signup.com for the clinics that are set to take place in the Guillot University Center on the UNA campus March 15, 16, and 18 and April 17 and 18, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. The clinics for the second dose, which must be administered 28 days after the first dose, will be in the same location on April 12, 13, and 15 and May 15 and 16 from 7-5 p.m.

“We look forward to contributing to the state and national efforts by vaccinating not only our campus but also by helping to vaccine members of our community.”

 

Individuals who participate in the clinic should review the packet of information about the Moderna vaccine HERE and complete the forms HERE to bring to their appointment to help expedite their scheduled vaccine appointments. If individuals do not have access to print the forms, UNA Health Services will provide the forms to complete at the time of the appointment.

Please note for the day of arrival to receive a vaccine:

  1. Please complete the forms HERE, and bring them to the appointment.
  2. Make sure to bring a driver’s license or a picture I.D.
  3. Please arrive at the exact time of appointment. Do not arrive early or late as this impacts the crowd control of the facility.
  4. Individuals will be required to stay 15-30 minutes after they receive their vaccine to be monitored
  5. Signs will guide where to park in front of the Guillot University Center, and volunteers will greet individuals upon arrival.
