FLORENCE – The University of North Alabama is launching a series of virtual campus tours during the next several weeks geared toward prospective students and families who are unable to be on campus as a result social distancing and the COVID-19 crisis.
“The virtual tour of campus offers students and families an opportunity to have a very real experience with the University,” said UNA President Ken Kitts. “While we look forward to having our students return, this provides a way for current students to stay engaged or, for the freshmen coming for the Fall of 2020, a way to begin making UNA their home.”
The videos highlight a variety of areas on campus, from residence halls and dining options to athletics, academics, experiential learning, and student organizations. The initiative, led by Enrollment Management and Admissions, in designed to spotlight the unique beauty of the UNA campus as well as to help students make informed decisions about their choice in higher education.
“I’m excited about launching the virtual tour. We spent a lot of time working through the areas of interest for potential students, from traditional freshmen to those enrolling in online-only courses to those coming to campus from countries across the globe,” said Dr. Lisa KeysMathews, the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives and Academic Support in Enrollment Management. “This allows them to ‘see’ UNA and get a feel for it as they prepare to attend. We encourage potential students to reach out with questions.”
The videos will launch across UNA’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, as well as at www.una.edu.
