UNIVERSITY OF NORTH ALABAMA – There’s nothing like a helping hand when new students and their families are moving their stuff into the dorm at the beginning of a new semester. And there were plenty of smiling faces on the students and staff of UNA as they helped new residents make the move into their dorm rooms. “Unpack The Pride”, as it is called, happened Thursday and Friday at UNA. Lots of heavy lifting, lots of smiles and lots of popsicles got hundreds of rooms populated with young men and women who were eager to start the Fall Semester off right.
Unpack The Pride is the kick-off event to MANE Month at University of North Alabama. This is the time when students and staff get to know each other and get started on the right foot with their new semester. It’s a big deal! Fraternity, Sorority, Athelets and many others from UNA were at the various living quarters helping move in both new and returning students. It was almost military-like in its precision.
The Quad Cities Daily was on hand Friday morning to record some of the effort in EVENT PHOTOS. We present them here. Enjoy!
