The UNA Lions have fired up their spring practice and started their on-the-field preparation for the 2013 season. They’re coming off their off-season conditioning which was in anticipation of a championship run this year, but now, when the pads go on, comes the hard work. Players are trying to crack the depth charts as the coaches put a team together that can be successful in the fall.
Spring practices are limited by NCAA rules and consist of multiple drills including man-on-man, pass drills, run drills and many other drills that the coaches conjure up. Coach Wallace and his staff have the team in full pads to allow live (tackle to the ground) drills so that all of the drills can be practiced under game dress out condition.
The Spring Purple/White game is scheduled for 10 a.m., March 16, 2013 in Braly Stadium
