FLORENCE – The University of North Alabama and Alfa Insurance signed a Memorandum of Understanding in an on-campus ceremony today that will benefit Alfa employees who want to further their education.

“Alfa Insurance is proud to partner with the University of North Alabama in equipping employees for success,” said Chris Burgreen, Alfa Insurance District Sales Manager. “UNA’s commitment to academic excellence and leadership development mirrors Alfa’s values. We have deep roots in this community and are excited to offer employees an opportunity to learn, grow, and serve through the UNA experience. Alfa has a rich history of investing in education through scholarships, vocations programs, and teacher recognition. We look forward to building on this legacy by helping members of the Alfa family achieve their education goals at UNA.”

Burgreen was among those who signed the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of Alfa Insurance. The partnership is effective immediately, and employees may work through their Human Resources Department to take advantage of this benefit.

“UNA is extremely proud to forge this relationship with Alfa,” said Dr. Ross Alexander, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. “Both organizations are committed to the Shoals and helping residents and Alfa employees achieve their educational goals.”
