Ulyess Jack Isbell – Obituary

Ulyess Jack Isbell, age 72 of Tuscumbia, died Sunday, August 9, 2015. His family will receive friends, Tuesday, 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Valley Grove Baptist Church with funeral service following in the church sanctuary. Dr. Greg Beasley and Dr. Jeff Davis will officiate and burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.

Mr. Isbell was a native of Tuscumbia and a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and taught Sunday school. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and coached Spring Valley Dixie Youth baseball for twenty years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulyess and Annie Lee Meadows Isbell, grandson, Evan M. Isbell and mother-in-law, Sarah Mask.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Jane Mask Isbell, and sons: David Harold Isbell (Alison), Ashley Ware Isbell (Connie), sister, Reba Fay Isbell Hester (Wayne) and grandsons; John David and Hogan Isbell.

Pallbearers are Scott Hester, Ray Counts, Wayne Jeffreys, Jim Meadows, Doug McDonald, Lee Craft, Chris Craft and Steve Evans.

Honorary pallbearers are his Sunday school class and Spring Valley Dixie Youth baseball players.

The family expresses special thanks to Rhonda Welch, Diane Cole and Deb Martin, Keller Homecare and Hospice of North Alabama.
