Tyrone Dale “Tony” Pitts, 68, born October 17, 1953 to Robert and Maxine Pitts of Hamilton, AL, left for his Heavenly Home on January 26, 2022. Tony loved his family, friends and his church. He loved the Lord the most. He was a member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church. Tony currently was a driver at Tiffin Drive Away. He had been a truck driver for thirty-five years prior to this. Tony loved people, always wanting and willing to help anyone he could. He loved music and could play several instruments and sing. During football season you could always hear a big ole “Roll Tide” from the back room. He served in the U.S. Air Force for six and one-half years.
Services will be Saturday, January 29, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Jerry Humphries and Bro. Scott Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-one and one-half years – Alice Pitts; sons – David Pitts (Andrea) of Winfield, AL., Shane Clack (Tawana) of Sumter, S.C. and Stuart Clack (Crystal) of Hodges, AL; grandchildren – Kristin Clack, Joseph Clack, D.J. Pitts (Crimson), Robert Pitts (Carolyn), Jadon Douglas (Liza), Savina Douglas, Christina Hunn and Abby Hunn; great-granddaughter – Allie Ingram and a baby great-grandson coming in June; one sister – Brenda Garrison (Steve) of Hamilton, AL; one brother – Tim “Snake” Pitts of Hamilton, AL and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Juston and his father and mother-in-law, Archie T. and Jean Hardin.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Clack, D.J. Pitts, Robert Pitts, Bobby Smith, Doc Pitts and Joe Hardin.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 29, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
