Twyla Mae Ellis McKee, age 92 of Castalian Springs, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, August 13th at 1:00 p.m. at Old Union Church of Christ, with Mark McKee III officiating. Visitation will be Monday, August 12th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin and Tuesday, August 13th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with her grandsons honoring her as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old Union Church of Christ Youth Fund, 2505 Hartsville Pike, Castalian Springs, TN 37031.
Mrs. McKee was born May 26, 1932, in Ontario, Canada to the late Ora F. Ellis and Gladys Brand Ellis. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Marcus L. “Buddy” McKee, Jr.; and great grandchild, Paige Martin. She is survived by sons, Michael McKee (Kim) of Knoxville and Mark McKee III (Missy) of Castalian Springs; brothers, Harold Ellis (Sharon) of Canada, Gordon Ellis (Nora) of Canada, and Eric Ellis (Kathy) of Canada; grandchildren, Cody McKee (Sonia), Cade McKee (April), Molly Martin (Jonathan), Jesse McKee (Heather), Evan McKee (Lea), and Luke McKee (Hannah); and great grandchildren, Amelia McKee, Ophelia McKee, Elias McKee, London Taylor (Natalie), Chandler McKee, Timothy McKee, Caden McKee, Cassidy Martin, Jonah Martin, Emerson McKee, Henry McKee, Blake McKee, Parker McKee, Davy McKee, and Charlie McKee.
