Mrs. Twyla Jeanetta Reid Hobdy, age 57 of Portland, Tennessee passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tennessee. Twyla was born on November 6, 1966 in Portland, Tennessee to the late Noah and Virginia Reid.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Odell Hobdy, Sr.; an angel grandbaby; sister, Lesia Perry; nephew, Damian Reid.
Twyla is survived by her children, Ricky Odell Hobdy, Jr., and Katie (Zack) Fitzgerald; grandson, Hunter Fitzgerald; sister, Cindy Reid; brothers, Eddie (Tracy) Reid, Glenn (Susan) Reid and Noah (Sarah Muller) Reid, Jr.; sister-in-law, Michelle (Roy) Groves; brothers-in-law, Kenny Hobdy and Dennis (Connie Ladd) Hobdy; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 17th at 2:00 PM at Providence General Baptist Church Cemetery in Westmoreland with David Hobdy officiating. Logan Smith, Dearick Reid, Ben Reid, Trevor Hobdy, Dalton Groves, and Brian Hobdy will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Lukas Reid and Jackson Reid. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, July 17th from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Sellars Family Heritage at Portland.
