Two-Vehicle Accident Takes Life Of Woodville Woman

JACKSON COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident with injuries on Tuesday.  On Sunday one of the victims of the accident died from her injuries:

“A two-vehicle crash at approximately 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, has claimed the life of a Woodville woman. Charlotte Wehrle German, 81, was fatally injured when her 2013 Chrysler Town & Country van was struck by a 2015 Kia Forte, driven by Lauryn Michelle Klein, 32, of Madison.

Both were injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. A toddler, who was a passenger in the Kia, was also injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

On Sunday, January 9, German succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The crash occurred on U.S. 72 near Jackson County 6, approximately 12 miles east of Woodville. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
