Two-Vehicle Accident Involving A Tractor-Trailer Has Taken The Lives Of Two People

JASPER-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident near Jasper, involving a tractor-trailer  has taken the lives of two people:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. Monday, September 9, has claimed two lives.

Charles E. Calloway, 79, of Jasper, was fatally injured when the 2015 Chevrolet Equinox he was driving was struck by the 2024 Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer driven by David M. McDaniel, 26, of Madison. Calloway and a passenger of the Chevrolet, Delores G. Burgess, 85, of Jasper, were both pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Arkadelphia Road near Alabama 69, approximately two miles north of Jasper, in Walker County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
