ATHENS-The fight to end cancer is a daily event in many lives in our community and the desire and dedication of the Limestone County Relay for Life Teams to raise funds for cancer research and cure are just as active.
County For A Cure, the Limestone County Government Team, has partnered with The Village Pizza – East Limestone located at 15728 East Limestone Road for a special fundraiser onJuly 23rd from 4:00PM-8:00PM
Anyone interested can dine-in or take out a pizza order during this period and a portion of the profits from this special event will go to the American Cancer Society.
The City of Athens Relay Team is hosting an evening with Greg Screws, WHNT on-air personality, on July 29th in the McCandless Auditorium of Athens State University.
Greg will share funny images and stories about the news, those who report it.
Tickets are $20.00 each or $35.00 per couple. Tickets will be available at Athens City Hall 200 West Hobbs Street and High Cotton Arts 103 West Washington.
