Two Suspects Arrested Near Haleyville After Vehicle Pursuit

RUSSELLVILLE-On Saturday, April 13, Russellville Patrol Officers located a stolen vehicle. A vehicle pursuit was initiated. Patrol Officers lost sight of the vehicle for a short time. We located the vehicle again and continued the pursuit. The vehicle reached speeds of 125 mph. During the pursuit, the vehicle rammed a Law Enforcement vehicle from another agency. The pursuit finally came to an end on AL-13 near Knight Road in Haleyville.


Erica Lawler is charged with:
Receiving Stolen Property First Degree
Felony Attempting to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer
Possession of a Controlled Substance – meth.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Reckless Endangerment
Fugitive From Justice (wanted in Tennessee)

 


Paul Chartrand is charged with:
Receiving Stolen Property First Degree
Felony Attempting to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer
Possession of a Controlled Substance – meth.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Reckless Endangerment
Both suspects will also receive further charges from other agencies. We’d like to thank the other agencies that assisted in this pursuit:

Marion County Sheriff’s Office
Bear Creek Police Department
Haleyville Police Department
Alabama State Troopers
All suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
