MORGAN COUNTY-ON Sunday, January 17 the Morgan  County Sheriff’s Department resopnded to a Central Dispatch call about a shooting.  The Morgan County Sheriff has issued a statement regarding the call:

“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:

On January 17th, 2016, Morgan County Central Dispatched received the call of a shooting at the intersection of Spring Ave. SW and Bradley St. SW.

The victim identified as Dyron Rashad Primus was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the thigh. Primus was transported to

Huntsville Hospital where he was treated for his non life threatening injuries.

Det. Matt Young of the Decatur Police Departments Violent Crimes Unit began an investigation into the case. During the course of the investigation Laportia Rene Reed and Marcus Trashawn Wallace were developed as suspects.

On January 20, 2016 Reed and Wallace were both located and subsequently charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree and Assault in the 2nd Degree. Reed was transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond. Wallace’s bond has not been set.”
