Two Men Arrested In Theft From Target

shoplifting 2DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department were called to the Target Store located at 1235 Point Mallard Parkway regarding a shoplifting case.  Here is how the Decatur Police describe events leading up to the arrest of two men:

“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On November 18th, 2014, Loss Prevention Associates at Target located at 1235 Point Mallard Parkway SE filed a theft report with the Decatur Police Department. Reported to be stolen were three pairs of high dollar headphones exceeding the total value of $500.00.
Video surveillance captured two black males in the Electronics Department of the store using a hand held cutting device to cut the security cables off of the Headphones. After the cables were cut the subjects concealed the headphones into their jackets and were able to leave to store without being apprehended.shoplifting 1
Both subjects were positively identified as Charles Edward Kirk JR and Brodrick Lamaul Kirk of Decatur and on November 21st, 2014 arrest warrants for Theft of Property in the 2nd Degree were obtained on both by Det. Matt Young.
On November 23, 2014, Charles and Brodrick were both arrested on the warrants and booked into the Decatur City Jail. Both were then transferred to the Morgan County Jail both in lieu of a $5,000.00 bond.”
