FLORENCE-ALEA (Alabama Law Enforcement Agency) reports that two fishermen have been missing from Florence Harbor since around 7 PM on Wednesday, March 2 .
Weather conditions halted the search around 2:30 AM on Thursday. ALEA Aviation and Marine Patrol are handling the search and they have located the fisherman’s boat which was lodged under the Singing River Bridge. The boat has been identified as the boat belonging to the two unnamed fishermen.
The identity of the men is being withheld at this time by the family’s request.
The search has been put on hold due to worsening weather conditions and has not been resumed as of 12:00 PM Thursday. ALEA, Marine Patrol as well as Florence and Killen Fire and Rescue, along with Lauderdale EMA are contributing to the search effort.
