TOWN CREEK-The storm on Monday evening has taken the lives of two people according to Town Creek Police Chief Jerry Garret.
Two are dead and four or five have been injured in the area of County Road 265. A husband and wife are dead and a seven year old child was found near the couple in an area known as Blue Hollow Road. The extent of the injuries to the child are critical and the child has been taken to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
According to the Town Creek Police Chief the other four or five people who were injured during the storm were discovered after a preliminary search and the extent of their injuries are not known at this time.
EMA authorities believe the damage in the area of County Road 265 could be caused by a tornado. The National Weather Service will do a survey to determine if indeed the damage was caused by a tornado.
