MORGAN COUNTY-Two arrested after area woman reports being robbed at gunpoint. Here is how Sheriff Ana franklin of the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office describe the events leading up to the arrest:
“An area woman reported being robbed at gunpoint inside her residence late Saturday evening, requiring a response from both her patrol deputies and her Criminal Investigation Division.
Just before midnight on Saturday, January 10th, 2015, dispatch received a call from a residence on the 200 block of Tapscott Road. The victim was reporting that a lone masked male had entered her home, pointed a handgun at her and took her prescription medication.
The cooperation of victims led to investigators obtaining enough evidence to identify and arrest two suspects that night.
Jalen Rashard Chatman, 20, of 64 Bowers Road, Vahermoso Springs and Tyler Desean Griffin, 18, of 182 Tapscott Road, Hartselle were both charged with robbery in the first degree. They are currently in custody at the Morgan County Jail. Their bond has not yet been set.”
