Twisted Eats: a Restaurant Review

There is a new place to eat in Sheffield, Alabama and here is a review of it.  It is called the Twisted Eats and it is located at 215 North Montgomery Ave, Sheffield, Alabama 35660.  The restaurant has just opened up.  I have had several people who have told me that the breakfast is very good in the mornings.  So, I decided to try it myself.

A guest and I went to the Twisted Eats on a Saturday night at around 7:00 PM.  There were about 6 tables in use when we arrived.  We were promptly seated and had drinks in front of us just as quick.  We were told that there was a limited menu at the moment until the Grand Opening.   Looking over the menu, my guest ordered Chicken Alfredo while I ordered a Ribeye with a Baked Potato as well as Mashed Potatoes.

Looking around the restaurant, it is decorated with a comic/movie/record theme.  There are tons of comic book related items decorating the walls.  It was really cool for a comic book person like me.  Several of the comic book items were autographed.  There are 45 speed records hanging on the wall.  When was the last time you saw 45 records.

Of course, I had to have Cheese Sticks for an appetizer.  They were lightly breaded and served hot.  The Marinara Sauce was good.  It had a good flavor without being too tangy.  My guest had the Chicken Alfredo.  I tried it and it was so good.  Just enough spice in the Alfredo Sauce and the Chicken was grilled to perfection.

I had a 12 ounce Ribeye cooked well done.  The steak came cooked throughout without a charcoal taste.  It was flavored in some type of marinate that gave it a juicy taste.  The Baked Potato was as expected.  Not over done or under cooked.

Now let’s talk about the Mashed Potatoes.  They had a brown crust on them when they arrived.  I was a little hesitate to taste them because of that.  However, I must tell you that they were very good.  The menu has them listed as grilled mashed potatoes.  I cannot stress enough how good they were.

The wait staff was on the ball.  They continuously checked on us, refilling our drinks and seeing if we needed anything.  The atmosphere was relaxing.  It was quiet in the restaurant so you could have a normal conversation.  It was a peaceful dining experience.

The next time you are waiting to dine out, give the Twisted Eats Restaurant a try.  I am going to give them a rating of 4 out of 5 cheese sticks.
