TVAA Exhibition opening – Southern Visions March 25

TUSCUMBIA-Exhibition opening – Southern Visions at the Tennessee Valley  Museum of Art in Tuscumbia beginning on March 25 and the  Exhibition continues through May 4, Monday through Friday  from 9 – 5 p.m. and Sundays 1 – 3 p.m.

There will be a Meet the artist at the exhibition opening from 1-3 p.m. March 25, 2018 where patrons can meet artist H. R. Lovell and discuss his show Southern Visions.

Lovell was named Tennessee’s Artist-in-Residence for 2001 to 2003 by the Tennessee State Senate. He is a self-taught painter who uses a photorealistic style, often depicting the South and its people using strong composition in late afternoon light with deep shadows.
The exhibition will feature works on loan from the collection of Quinton Horner and the Horner family as well as from the artist, H. R. Lovell. Horner and Lovell will be in attendance at the opening to meet and greet visitors.
