TENNESSEE VALLEY-On Sunday, April 12 overnight storms and tornadoes have caused damage across TVA’s transmission system in Mississippi, North Georgia, and Southeast Tennessee. Fifteen transmission lines are out of service. However, all connections with local power companies are in-service and delivering power. Local power distribution systems sustained damage resulting in power outages. Line crews continue to asses damage and develop plans for restoration and repairs.
Safety is a priority.

• The public should stay away from all electrical equipment, including downed power lines, as TVA and local power companies work to restore power.

• Crews will following all safety rules, including COVID-19 distance requirements.
