MUSCLE SHOALS-According to Damien Simbeck, Senior Program Manger with Natural Resources Management at TVA, TVA manages more than 30 public trails (almost 180 miles) along the Tennessee River and its tributaries and on reservoir lands. TVA has trails to suit every interest and experience level, whether you’re looking for an easy stroll, planning your first mountain bike ride or craving a challenging climb.

June 1 is National Trails Day and TVA is celebrating with a new adventure—a scavenger hunt—with
details here. Trail walkers can submit their photos of items included in the scavenger hunt to
trailscontest@tva.gov through June 2 for a chance to win. Each photo submitted will be entered
into a random drawing for a Great Outdoors Adventure package that includes a tent, sleeping
bag and TVA swag.

All TVA trails allow for foot traffic, some allow bicycling and there is one horse trail. You
can find a map of TVA trails and more information at tva.com/environment/recreation/tva-trails.
