TUSCUMBIA – Elbert Davis, 88, was murdered in the Shoals according to Tuscumbia police.
The 88-year-old man was beaten to death inside his home according to investigators, the autopsy results received by the investigators say that his death was not accidental and in no way did he die from natural causes. Several signs that force was used against Davis were found as well as blunt force trauma to his head.
Friends of Davis claim to have Found him in this condition in his home August of last year. Results of the autopsy report should insure the narrowing of suspects by giving investigators important information, such as time of death and what time he was beaten.
Police have developed new leads and will soon be conducting interviews.
