TUSCUMBIA-The Tuscumbia Civitan Club announces the re-release of the 2023 Civitan Christmas
Ornament featuring Deshler High School, the 28th ornament in the on-going series that showcases
historical sites and landmarks in the community.

Civitan president Fred Joly said, “Last year’s Civitan ornament was extremely popular and sold out
quickly! For the first time, ever, the club decided to cut an additional supply, to continue selling this
particular ornament to the always growing number of students, alumni, and those who love and
support the town’s high school. If you missed buying one last year, you will now be able to acquire
this special ornament, which commemorates the rich history and beauty of Deshler.”

2023 Deshler ornaments have now been restocked at Fiddledee D! gift shop, 111 S. Main St.
Tuscumbia and at Helen Keller Public Library, 511 N. Main, Tuscumbia. The price is $20.00 and
purchases must be cash or check made payable to Tuscumbia Civitan. Inventory from previous years
is also available in limited quantities.

Announcement will be forthcoming about the 2024 Civitan Ornament – Coldwater Seed and Supply.
Civitan ornament chairperson Ninon Parker said that this year’s ornament is now in production,
with shipment expected soon and sales available at the same locations.

Purchases of both ornaments may also be made using Paypal, by sending an email request to
Tuscumbiacivitan@gmail.com. Your invoice will reflect an additional charge for shipping and
surcharge by Paypal.

Tuscumbia Civitan Club supports many worthwhile charitable endeavors in the community through
sales of the Christmas ornaments and Claxton Fruitcakes. Fruitcakes are now on sale at local
grocery stores through the holiday season and from Civitans.

Among the recipients of funds raised are CASA, Meals on Wheels, Safeplace, the Cerebral Palsy
Center, Boy’s and Girls’ State and many more philanthropic causes that support the community.
