Hwa, Tung Yu-Chu “Lily”, 97 of Muscle Shoals, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 11, 2024. A service of remembrance will be Saturday, January 20, 2024, at noon at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia.
Lily was a native of Beijing, China, and longtime resident of Muscle Shoals. She was a high school teacher, teaching both Chemistry and Physics.
She is survived by her children, Henry Hwa, Catherine Ly Hwa, Julie Yu-Hwa Chan, and Vicki Hwa; brother, Dong Ren Lin; grandchildren, Vivian Hwa, Jason Hwa, Helen Ly, Amy Ly, Casey Wu, and Travis Wu; other family members include Samuel Chan, Alexander Ly, Hsiu-Chin Chen Hwa, Ron Wu, Tiffany Peng Hwa, Allen Chen, Derrick Choi, and Wilson Chun.
