Troy Willard Cooper, age 75, passed away June 27, 2014 at Henderson Health and Rehab.
He was born and reared in the Montezuma Community of Chester County, son of the late W.E. Cooper and Ruth Kirby Cooper. He went to school in Chester County and graduated Chester County High School in 1956. He loved playing high school football where he was a captain of the team and also played high school baseball. He went to Illinois after graduation, working in the transport and shipping industry, using 18 wheelers. He moved back to Henderson in 1972 where he opened his own business Troy Cooper’s Photography Studios, becoming one of the best photographers in this area. He married Janice Terry in 1990 and they made their home in Henderson. Troy also started a family lawn care service. He retired in 2005 after bad health reason and has passed the lawn care service down to his son Cody. Troy liked to hunt and fish, play golf and trap shoot. He was also a coach for both little league football and baseball. He was Baptist in belief.
Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife Janice and a son Cody Cooper of Henderson and two daughters; Christy Morris of Rutherford, TN and Lisa Shipman of Jackson, TN and a brother Wayne Cooper of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Joe and Carnice Cooper.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Rev. Charlie Carothers officiating with burial in the Sweet Lips Cemetery.
