Troy McDougal, 60, of Tuscumbia passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017. Visitation will be Sunday, January 15th from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Monday, January 16th at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Seth Hood officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Troy was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. He was affectionately known to all the children as Paw. Troy was preceded in death by his parents, Casey and Louella McDougal; brothers, Charles, Howard, and Alton McDougal; sisters, Roszell McDonald, Evelyn Franks, and Eva Tingle; and mother-in-law, Hazel Stutts.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Debbie McDougal; daughters, Molly and Charles Lawler and Kasey and Brian James; brothers, Roy and Linda McDougal and Ray and Shirley McDougal; sisters, Johnnie Power and Faye Barnette; 5 grandchildren, Collin, Jaxson, Maci Haze, Finley, and Cooper; special sister-in-law, Jeanie Hester; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Brad Counce, Shawn Malone, Rabbit Taylor, Bobby Malone, Jeff Suggs, and Steve Lubich. Honorary pallbearers are Hurb McCullough and Matthew McGee.
The family expresses special thanks to all the nursing staff of Shoals Hospital ICU and also to Dr. Terry True and Dr. Lynn Ridgeway.
