Troy Douglas Harry Jr., age 77, of Talladega, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at UAB Hospital.
Troy was born January 14, 1947, in Anniston, Alabama to the late Troy and Mina Harry and was a lifelong resident of Talladega, Alabama.
Troy was self-employed his entire life. His businesses ranged from game rooms, retail stores, to his most beloved venture – auctions. He had a passion for Alabama football and going to Wetumpka on Friday nights; and on the rare occasion he took a break from working, he enjoyed watching westerns.
He is survived by Vanessa Stephens Harry, his wife of 54 years; children, Stephanie Hale (Barry), Pamela Wansley, Doug Harry (Wendy), Phillip Harry (Miranda), Randy Harry (Cindy), and Troy Harry III, sister, Faye Harry, 15 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
He considered his auction community among his closest friends.
Troy is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Mina Harry, and siblings, Roger Harry, Helen Knighton, and Barbara Putman.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 17, 2024, from 4pm – 6pm at Cremation Services of East Alabama, 733 White Plains Rd, Anniston, AL 36207.
