Trisha Baker, 60, of Hornsby

Mrs. Baker passed away early Monday morning at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

She was born August 9, 1958 in Hardeman County to the late Raymond Earl Howell, who died in 1986, and Jo Edna Smith Howell, who survives. A 1977 graduate of Bolivar Central High School, she lived all her life in Hardeman County. Trisha married Jimmy Baker on April 9, 1982 and worked as a Special Education Assistant at Bolivar Elementary School before retiring due to illness.

She loved her church family at Hornsby Baptist where she was a member for over 30 years. In her leisure time, she loved spending time with her grandson, Baker. A real “people person”, she enjoyed talking and visiting with friends and Facebook.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Baker of Hornsby; her daughter Lindsey Wilkerson and her husband, Chris, of Hornsby; her mother, Jo Edna Howell of Hornsby; her grandson, Baker Wilkerson, also of Hornsby; one niece, Beth Pyle of Johnson City, TN; and three nephews, Jeremy Howell and Danny Lynn Wilson, both of Knoxville and Kevin Watson of Whiteville.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Joyce Watson and Beverly Gail Howell; and a brother, Jimmy Dale Howell.

Memorials may be sent to the Hornsby Baptist Church Building Fund.
